Harness - Buck Brown

At Bono's Custom Leather, we aim to provide our customers with the best bang for your buck. Especially when it comes to our belts! These belts are made from 10-12 oz Wickett & Craig Traditional Harness Leather and are built to last.

This particular brand of leather is known for its unique blend of waxes, oils, and tallows, which are hot stuffed into the leather. The beautiful look and feel of traditional harness leather is achieved in part due to a process called jack glazing, during which the oils come to the surface. The result is a glossy yet natural finish, with the leather’s true grain still visible. On the back side, Traditional Harness leather is refinished and gum-pasted, giving it a waxy, smooth texture.

Unlike a material that is mass-produced, each piece of Harness leather is one of a kind. Harness leather has a character of its own and often displays natural markings that lend beauty and refinement to the material. Being a natural product, harness leather can also vary in hue and structure from product to product. These small variations are unique characteristics and not flaws – each product will develop a unique and individual look when taking on scuffs and memories of your everyday life.

Our full-grain belts are accompanied by solid brass buckles that will last a lifetime.

However, if you wish to change out your buckle with one of your own, all of our belts are made with snaps to allow a quick change to any buckle you prefer. (Note, a western style buckle will change the overall length of your belt).
